Hey Rosetta!—Psalms

It has been forever since I posted a song as the song of the day.  This song is beautiful.  The vibe is amazing.  I hope I can find a good picture to use

but often it happens you know
that the things you don’t trust are the ones you need most
so it’s cautiously into the dark
but you see before long that your eyes will adjust
and under the night you can hear
the full moon rise like a psalm in the air
and the air goes into your lungs
and around in your heart and on through your blood
it goes cautiously into the dark
and you see before long that we all have a part
and under your skin you can feel
that the fear that you feel is what will set you free

and under the night you can hear
the full moon rise like a psalm in the air
and the air goes into your lungs

amelia-thermopolis:

Where have you gone?
The beach is so cold in winter here
And where have I gone?
I wake in Montauk, with you near

Remember the day,
‘Cause this is what dreams should always be
I just want to stay
I just want to keep this dream in me

You’re losing your memory now
You’re losing your memory now
You’re losing your memory now
You’re losing your memory…

This song and album is so great.  I definitely clap along and this song is the perfect for a friday during summer school.  Enjoy the day!

I can see it in her Cherokee eyes
Those baby browns and the golden thighs
What you doing for the rest of your life?
Cause you don’t want, don’t wanna go

Down in the Valley—The Head and the Heart

Of course you win, again.  Thanks.  You are amazing and you know it.

Lord have mercy on my rough and rowdy ways
Call it one drink too many
Call it pride of a man
But it don’t make no difference if you sit or you stand
‘Cause they both end in trouble and start with a grin

What a beautiful song

I have become,
An ariel view.
Of a coastal town,
That you once knew.

Hearts need a beat, like awake needs asleep
Like a pen needs a page, to learn right you need a mistake

Oh, yeah

Hearts need a mind, like a clock needs the time
Like white needs black, if you leave I hope you need to come back

I was unafraid, I was a boy, I was a tender age
melic in the naked, knew a lake and drew the lofts for page
hurdle all the waitings up, know it wasn’t wedded love
4 long minutes end and it was over it’d all be back
and the frost took up the eyes

Back in school.  Should be posting songs regularly again.   Enjoy the day, everyone.

The broken window and the pretty blue sky
and cold water for my swollen black eye
we shook some money from your mother’s old clothes
when all had gathered round the soldier boy carried home——

Sorry I haven’t posted a song in such a long time.  We have had off from school for the past week and a half and I have enjoying nourishing my soul.  It is amazing how fast the stress melts away when you remember what roots are important in your tree.

Love to all, Enjoy the Day

See the world
Find an old fashioned girl
And when all’s been said and done
It’s the things that are given, not won
Are the things that you want

You win

Momma once told me
You’re already home where you feel love
I am lost in my mind
I get lost in my mind

I am fortunate to live at home with my parents right now and with how busy life is, I still miss my family.

A serious slow jam today.  Like good honey in oatmeal.  With rasberries.  I figure it was a good way to get into the week.

And I’ve been waiting all this life
In the company of one
And I know I am young
But I don’t want to be alone
If you could only just
Consider the two of us
And i know darling
I could be so good to you

In Honor of all those who have given the ultimate sacrifice defending this great country.

have a letter here, written a long time ago, to a Mrs. Bixby in Boston. So bear with me. “Dear Madam: I have been shown in the files of the War Department a statement of the Adjutant-General of Massachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle. I feel how weak and fruitless must be any words of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering to you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom. Yours very sincerely and respectfully, Abraham Lincoln.”

Trust me Grandson, the war was in color.
